Short title and commencement.—(i) These rules may be called the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Rules , ^981 . (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . In the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules , 1975 , (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) :— (a) su1>rule (3) of rule 7 shall be omitted; (b) sub-rules (4) and (5) of rule 7 shall be re-numbered as sub-rules (3) and (4) , respectively; (c) for rule 32 of the said rules , the following rule shall be substituted , namely :— "32 . (1) Application for consent.—An application for obtaining the consent of the Central Board (a) for bringing into use any new or altered outlet for the discharge of sewage or trade effluent into a stream or well or sewer or on land or; (b) to begin making use of any new dischargo of sewage or trado effluent into a stream or well or sewer or on land under section 23 , or; (c) for continuing an existing discharge of sewage or trado effluent into a stream or well or sewer or on land under secti
