HIGHER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 26th October 2018 NOTIFICATION MAHARASHTRA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES ACT, 2016. No. PARINI- 2018/C. R. No. 105/VISHI-2.–In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (10) of section 72 read with sub-section (10) of section 99 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 (Mah. Act. No. VI of 2017), the Government of Maharashtra hereby, prescribes the uniform Statute relating to procedure for conduct of business of meetings of Students' Council in university, colleges and recognized institutions, namely :— UNIFORM STATUTE No. 6 OF 2018. Short title.-This Statute may be called the Maharashtra Public Universities (Procedure for Conduct of Business of Meetings of Students' Council in University, Colleges and Recognized Institutions) Uniform Statute, 2018. Procedure for Conduct of Business of Meetings of the Students' Council.––(1) The Secretary of the College Students' Council shall call a meeting of the College Students' Council with the prior permission of the Principal or Director of the college or institution as the case may be and the President of the College Students' Council. A notice of the meeting shall be sent to the members at least eight clear days before the date of the meeting, along with the agenda for the meeting. In case of emergency, the notice period shall be of minimum three clear days. The Secretary of the College Students' Council shall prepare an agenda for a meeting in consultation with the Principal or Director of the college or institution as the case may be. The Principal of the college or Director of the institution as the case may be shall preside over the first meeting of the College Students' Council. The Secretary of the CoRule TOC
