West Ben. Act XXXII of 1972. West Ben. Ord. IV of 1989. GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act XXVIII of 1989 THE WEST BENGAL HOUSING BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 6th October, 1989.] [6th October; 1989.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Housing Board Act, 1972. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Housing Board Act, 1972, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Housing Board (Amendment).Act, 1989. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 30th day of June, 1989. In clause (8) of section 2 of the West Bengal Housing Board Act, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after the words "under this Act", the words, figures and brackets ", and includes any housing scheme entrusted to the Board by the State Government under sub-section (2) of section 17" shall be inserted and shall be deemed always to have been inserted. In sub-section (2) of section 17 of the principal Act, after the words "any housing scheme", the words ", whether provided for by this Act or not," shall be inserted and shall be deemed always to have been inserted. (1) The West Bengal Housing Board (Amendment) Ordinance, 1989, is hereby repealed. Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
