NOTIFICATION Law and Judiciary Department Mantralaya, Mumbai 400 032. Dated the 29th September 2009. Gram No.CRC-1009/(37YD-XLL In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 Nxavalxa of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, Actt20os: 2008, the Government of Maharashtra after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay hereby directs that; with effect from the 2 nd October 2009. (a) there shall be a Gram Nyayalaya for the Village Panchayat at the intermediate level, ie , Panchayat Samiti area Haveli, sub-ordinate to the District Court of Pune, in Pune District. the said Court shall be presided over by the Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Haveli Taluka as a Nyayadhikari (till regular appointment are made), who shall periodically visit the villages falling under his jurisdiction, at any place which he considers to be in close proximity to the place where parties ordinarily reside in terms of Section 9 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act 2008,after consultation with the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Pune. (C) the Civil Judge (Junior Division) , Haveli as a Nyayadhikari shall have jurisdiction to try all suits and proceedings of a Civil nature falling under the classes of disputes specified in Part I ofthe Second Schedule and try all classes of claims and diputes which may be notified by the Central Govemment under sub-section (I) of section 14 and by the State Government under sub-section (3) of section 14 ofthe Gram Nyayalaya Act 2008. the Judical Magistrate (First Class), Haveli as a Nyayadhikari may take cognizance of an offence on a complaint Or on a police report and shall try all offences specified in part [ of the First Schedule and try all offences and grant reliel; if any, specified under enactments included in Part Il of that schRule TOC
