West Ben, AV f Act V of 1951. West Bengal Act XXX of 1954 THE WEST BENGAL EVACUEE PROPERTY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1954. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 22nd October, 1954.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Evacuee Property Act, 1951. WHEREAs it is expedient to amend the West Bengal fhd ih pg Evacuee Property Act, 1951, for the purposes and in the hifi py , manner hereinafter appearing; It is --hereby enacted in the Fifth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows :- (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Evacuee () y Property (Amendment) Act, 1954. This section and section 3 shall come into force at once ; section 2 shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. In sub-section (2) of section 21 of the West Bengal Evacuee Property Act, 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the id ) said Act),— (a) for the words "three months" the words "five years" hll bbid d shall be substituted ; and (b) for the words "twelve months" the words "ten years" hll bbid shall be substituted. In section 28 of the said Act, after the words "State Government" the words "or the Committee" shall be Price—Indian, arena 1 ; English, 2d. inserted. Short title and commencement.
