[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 22nd March, 2006.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as folllows :- (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) (Amendment) Act, 2006. Short title and commencement. [SAKA 1928 West Ben. Act XIII of 1979. Insertion of new section 13A in West Ben. Act XIII of 1979. Amendment of section 138. Repeal and saving. The West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) (Amendment) Act, 2006. (Sections 2-4.) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of December, 2005. 2. After section 13 of the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following section shall be inserted :— "Regulation of building operation within the Planning Area. 13A.
