¨sÁUÀ – 4J Part – IVA ϝೇಷ ªಾಜÍ ಜÍ ಪĦÎೆ ೆ 12 2024 21 1946) BENGALURU, MONDAY, 12, AUGUST, 2024(SHRAVANA, 21, SHAKAVARSHA, 1946) GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA No:FD 468 Exp-12/2024 Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, Dated:09.08.2024 NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 25 of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2000) the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Rules, 2000, namely:- RULES Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Rules, 2024. They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Amendment of the rule 27(A).- In the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Rules, 2000, in rule 27(A),- After the words " Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes ", the words "Backward Castes as specified in Category-I and Category-II(A)", shall be inserted. In clause-(a), after the words " Contractors belonging to the Scheduled Tribes category", the figures, letters and words " 4% to be tendered among contractors belonging to the Backward Castes as specified in Category-I and 15% to be tendered among contractors belonging to the Backward Castes as specified in Category-II(A) ", shall be inserted. . 386 No.386 iii. For clause-(f), the following shall be substituted, namely,(f) " if no qualified tenderers belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Backward Castes as specified in Category-I or Category-II(A), as the case may be, participate in the bid in two attempts under this rule, then these works shall be tendered as open category wherein all eligible bidders of Gen
