(2) It extends t0 the whole of India: (3) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette* 2_ Definitions; Act" means the Essential Commodities Act; 1955 (10 of 1955); (b) Appellate Authority" means any authority appointed by the State Government to exercise the powers of the appellate authority under this Order; authority' mean

Ration Cards: The State Government shall issue distinctive ration cards to Above Poverty Line, Below Poverty Line and Antyodaya families and shall conduct pericdical review and checkingofthe ration cards as per paragraph 2 of the Annexe to this Order: 5.
