WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Scheduled Castes and Scheduled West Ben. Act XXXVII of 1994_ Tribes (Identification) Act; 1994, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows_ 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Identification) (Amendment) Act; 2017. Short title and commencenent: THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2017 [PART III The West Bengal Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Identification) (Amendment) Act, 2017.
