TAMIL NADU ARTISTS SOCIAL SECURITY AND WELFARE SCHEME 2006. [No.II (2)/LE/515(d-12)/2008 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4 read with Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act; 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982) and in supersession of the Labour and Employment Department Notification No.IIZ/LE/266(d-1)/2001, published at pages 1-17 of Part II Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette , Extraordinary, dated the 28th February 2001,the Governor of Tamil Nadu; hereby makes the following scheme for the scheduled employment under the said Act; in item 62:- THE SCHEME 1. Short title, extent application and commencement: (1) This Scheme may be called the Tamil Nadu Artists Social Security and Welfare Scheme 2006. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu: (3) It shall apply to all manual workers engaged in employment as Artists. (4) It shall come into force on the 1ST September 2006. 2. Definitions: In this Scheme, unless the context otherwise requires: - (a) Act" means the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act; 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982); (b) "Board" means the Tamil Nadu Artists Welfare Board established under section 6 of the Act; (c) "dependant' in relation to a registered manual worker means any of the relatives of such deceased workman as specified below:- wife or husband as the case may be; (ii) children; (iii) widow and children of the pre-deceased son; and (iv) Parents. Ivide the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette,Extraordinary Pt Il,Sec.2, issue No.328, dt.31st October 2008. at p.304 (d) "family" means- in the case of a male member , his wife, children whether married or unmarried, dependent parents and the widow and children of a deceased son
