IN pursuanceoftheprovisionsofclause(3)ofArticle348oftheConstitution,theGovernoris pleased to order the publicationof the following English translation of notification no. 172V/XXXVI-6-87-45(T)/83dated19July,1988: No.172-V/XXXVI-6-87-45(T)-83 DatedLucknow,July19,1988 IN exercise of the powers under sub-sections (1), (4) and (5)of section 24 of the Apprentices Act, 1961(Actno.52of1961)readwithsection21oftheGeneralClausesAct,1897(Actno.Xof1897) and in supersession of all previous notifications issued in this behalf, the Governor is pleased : (a) toestablishtheStateApprenticeshipCouncilinUttarPradeshtobeknownas"The Uttar Pradesh State Apprenticeship Council"; (b) toappointthefollowingpersonsastheChairman,Vice-Chairmanandmembers thereof, namely : Marg,Lucknow. (c) to determine the term of office of the procedure to be followed in discharge of theirfuctionby,andthemanneroffillingVacanciesamong,themembersandofficebearers of the Uttar Pradesh State Apprenticeship Council, hereinafter referred to as the council, as follows : A-TermofOffice Theterm ofnon-official members ofthe Council shall bethreeyears, AmembershallcontinuetobethememberoftheCouncilaftertheexpiryofhisterm until his successor is appointed. AmemberoftheCouncilshall ceasetobesuchmemberifheceasestoholdtheofficeby virtue of which he has been appointed as the member of the Council. AmemberoftheCouncilshall ceasetobethememberifhebecomesofunsoundmind,is declared insolvent or is convicted of a criminal offence invoving moral turpituto. AmembermayresignfromtheCouncilbytenderinghisresignationtotheChairman throughtheMemberSecretary andshallceaseto bethememberoftheCouncilfromthedateof acceptance of the resignation by the Chairman.
