WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act; 1979, forthe purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; Ilishereby enacted in the Thirty-second Year ofthe Republic of India; by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: West Ben. Aet XIof 1979 . 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Town and Country Short title. (Planning and Development) (Amendment) Act, 1981. 2. In section 19 of the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning Amendment and Development) Act, 1979,in clause (d) of sub-section (1), after the of section 19 existing proviso, the following further proviso shall be inserted: of West Ben. Act XIII of 1979 . Provided further that on the revocation of the order of supersession of the Corporation of Calcutta Or municipality, as the case may be, the members nominated by the State Government under the first proviso to this clause in place of the Councillors Or the Commissioners, as the case may be, shall, notwithstanding that the term of office of such members has not expired, cease to hold office as such members and the vacancies shall be filled up by the State Government by making fresh nominations from amongst the -elected Councillors or the Commissioners, as . the case may be_ 393
