AMENDMENT TO STATUTES RELATING TO MODE OF APPOINTMENT, PAY SCALES & QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POST OF TEACHERS OF THE UNIVERSITIES OF THE STATE [Governor's Secretariat, Bihar, No.B.S.U. 14/77-1494/G.S. (1) dated the 8th May, 1979.1 From, Shri H.N. Sinha, Deputy Secretary to the. Governor, Bihar. To, The Vice-Chancellor, Patna University, Patna/Bihar University, Muzaffarpur/Ranchi University, Ranchi/Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur/Magadh University, Bodh Gaya/ Mithila University, Darbhanga. Sub : Statutes relating to mode of appointment, pay scales and qualificationfor the posts of teachers of the Universities of the State-Amendment thereto. In continuation to this Secretariat letter No. B.S.U. -14/7 (iv) Training in Computerization/Information Technology/Specialized Areas may, if the University so decides, be also taken into consideration. (c) Assistant Librarian or College Librarian. Qualifications : (i) Good academic record with at least a high second class Master's degree in a subject other than Library Science, and (ii) Afirst or high second class Master's degree in Library Science. 2 . The existing incumbents of posts noted above, who hold the qualifications as prescribed by the University before this Statute came into force (i.e.before 15th July. 1986) shall be deemed to be qualified for the posts they are holding. 3 . The scales of pay for the posts mentioned in Articles I above, shall be the same as may be approved by the State Government from time to time.

2 · . The existing incumbents of posts noted above, who hold the qualifications as prescribed by the University before this Statute came into force (i.e.before 15th July. 1986) shall be deemed to be qualified for the posts they are holding.
3 · . The scales of pay for the posts mentioned in Articles I above, shall be the same as may be approved by the State Government from time to time.
