West Ben. Act XXXII of 1990. West Ben. Ord. X of 1994. GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act VII of 1995 THE CHANDERNAGORE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1995. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 17th April, 1995.] [17th April, 1995.] An Act to amend the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-sixth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1995. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 30th day of December, 1994. 2. In clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the word "thirty-five", the word "twenty-five" shall be substituted. 3. (1) The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance, 1994, is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
