(Authoritative English text of this Department notification number Ahy-F(5)-5/99-Part-IV-L dated 17-03- 2016 as required under clause (3) of article 348 of the constitution of India) Government of Himachal Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department Notification No. Ahy-F(5)-5/99-Part-IV-L Shimla, Dated 17.03.2016 In exercise of the Powers conferred by section 43 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Disease in Animals Act; 2009 No. 27 of 2009), the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, with the prior approval of Central Government; hereby makes the following Rules, for carryingout the purposes ofthe said Act, namely:- 1 Short Title and commencement- (1) These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals (Check Post and Quarantine Camp, Manner of Inspection ) Rules, 2016. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette, 2 Definitions:- (1) In these rules unless the context otherwise requires; (a) 'Act' means the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act; 2009 (No, 27 of 2009}; (b) 'form' meansa form appended to these rules; and (c) 'Section' means a section ofthe Act; (2) Words and expressions used but not defined in these rules shall have the meaning respectively as assigned to them in the Act; 3. The manner of inspection and the period of detention at a Check Post or at Quarantine Camp:- (1) In order to ascertain whether the animal is infected with any of the scheduled disease, the animal stopped at the check post or detained in the quarantine camp Shall be inspected by the person-in-charge of check post or quarantine camp for the following purposes:- (a) movement and gait; dull, depressed, normal or excited behavior; (6)Rule TOC
