The Odisha 8 Gazett e EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No . 1078, CUTTACK, TUESDAY_ JULY 8, 2014 ASADHA 17, 1936 FISHERIES & ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION The 3rd July, 2014 SR.O.No.277/2014 _ In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 43 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act, 2009, (27 of 2009) the Government of Odisha with prior approval of Central Government; hereby makes the following rules, namely: Short Title and Commencement: These rules may be called the Odisha Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals (Manner of Inspection of Check Post and Quarantine Camp) Rules, 2014. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette: 2. Definition: (1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires: (a) Act' means the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act; 2009; (b) Animal Owner' means a person who carries the animal; (c) Department' means the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department; Government of Odisha; (d) Form' means a form appended to these rules; and (e) Identification" means act of identifying the animals by way of ear tagging; tattooing, mark by branding, photographs, microchips or any other suitable system; 'Section' means a section of the Act; (2) Words and expressions used in these rules and not defined but defined in the act, shall have the same meaning as respectively assigned to them in the Act. 2 3.
