CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION FINANCE DEPARTMENT ESTATE BRANCH NOTIFICATION No43/3/327-UTFI(5)-2018/ 8975 Dated Wlcm3 Whereas, the appropriate Government has proposed for Construction of connectivity from Dakshin Marg to PR 4 Road U.T IPunjab Boundary as per the approved Master Plan in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, by acquiring land for the said purpose: And whereas in view of provision of Section 4(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlemenl Act, 2013 and Rule 3(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement (Social 'mpact Assessment and Consent) Rules, 2014, the Social Impact Assessment is required to be carried out in consultation with the concerned Gram Panchayat and Municipal Corporation in the affected areas_ The proposed acquisition of aforesaid road would entail about 18 acres of land. These lands shall be acquired from Village Dhanas HB. No. 15 (approx: 5.57 acre) and Village Dadu Majra H.B: No. 14 (approx 12.23 acre), thus affected area shall be of Village Dhanas and Dadu Majra Tehsil, U.T. Chandigarh: The main objectives of Social {mpact Assessment would be to:- Assess that if the proposed acquisition serves public purpose; II_ Estimate the number of affected families and number of families among them likely to be displaced; IIL: Understand the extent of land public and private, houses, settlement and other common properties which are likely tq be affected by the proposed acquisition; IV Understand extent of land acquired which would be bare minimum needed for the project; V. Analyse whether any alternate place would be feasible for the said purpose ; VI. Study the social impacts, nature and cost of addressing them and impact of these cost o
