2 · Definitions In these bye-laws unless the context otherwise requires:
3 · No occupier or owner of a residential building shall erect or re-erect hedges on the Government land (adjoining his residential building) unless he has obtained a licence under these bye-laws from the Licensing Officer:
4 · Every application for grant of licence shall be made to the Licensing Officer in Form "A" appended to these bye-laws; and shall accompany the following documents
7 · . Every licence granted under these bye-laws shall be subject to the conditions: - following
8 · No permission shall be granted for erecting or re-erecting hedges in front of residential buildings adjoining V1, V2, V3 and V4 roads or road junctions.
9 · A licence granted under these bye-laws may be cancelled by an order in writing by the Licensing Officer for a breach of any of the conditions of licences or any of the provisions of the bye-laws. Provided that no licence shall be cancelled, unless an opportunity has been giver to the licensee to explain his case_ 10.For the purpose of proper planning and development of Chandigarh the Chief Administrator may, by written order, require any licence to remove the hedge within a specified period not exceeding thirty day and if the order is not complied with, the Chief Administrator shall be competent to remove the hedge at the expense of the licensee.
11 · - Any person who commits a breach of any of the provisions of these bye-laws shall, on conviction by a Magistrate , be punished with a fine which may extend t0
