ASSAM UNIVERSITY : SILCHAR NQTIFICATION Subject: Implementation of TDC CBCS Courge Structure: This is for information of all concerned that in pursuant to approval accorded by the Academic Council, Assam University in its 81st meeting held on 5th May , 2018 vide Resolution NoAC:81.05-18.28, TDC-Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) Regulations, 2018 will be effective from the Academic Session 2018-19 A copy of the said Regulation(s) has been uploaded in the Assam University website. Further, the syllabi of different subjects under CBCS course structure for Under Graduate Programme are also uploaded in the university website: All concerned are requested to take note of the provisions made under TDC-CBCS Regulation(s) , 2018 and take necessary measures for effective implementation of the same from the session 2018-19. A student shall be declared to have PASSED the Three-vear Degree Course under Choice based Credit System, TDC (CBCS) either in the TDC (CBCS) Honours Programme or TDC (CBCS) General Programme provided helshe has passed all the 6 (six) semesters and in all the papers of each semester. 22.,2.6. Assam University shall apply Absolute Grading System (AGS) to assess learners' performance for the TDC (CBCS) programme of study. Details of Grading System that to be followed by the University shall be as per APPENDIX G.

1 · to re-appear for the same paper in which the student has already been appeared under Betterment Examination: 2. to appear in Betterment Examination who have migrated from- Assam University. 3. to appear In any Betterment Examination if the Semester in which Betterment Examination is opted by the student to appear does NOT fall within the stipulated span of completion of hisl her programme of study, that is, falls within 5 (five) years at a stretch from the date of his/ her admission as per rule 10.3.

34 · 1.3. After the completion of Dissertation/ Project Work but before "Report Writing' an abstract/ a synopsis of the same shall have to be submitted to the Supervisor for his/ her recommendation to write the Report:
34 · 1.4. The Dissertation/ Project Work is a group activity; maximum number of students being Ilmited to 5 (five). However , each student shall prepare and submit the Abstract/ Synopsis ad Report separately and, each student must present the Report before the Examiners at the ESE during evaluation: Report may be written as per the format shown In APPENDIX F.
34 · 2. Assessment of Dissertation/ Project Work: 34.2.1. Report of Dissertation/ Project Work be submitted during the End Semester Examination (ESE) and presentation of the same be done In front f both Internal and External Practical Examiners. Both the examiners shall assess the report and award marks. Full Marks and Pass Marks for Dissertation/ Project Work shall be 100 and 40 respectively _ Marks be awarded on the basis of the following items (Table: 8):
