The existing sySlem of verilication of weights and measures and its renewal has become inappropriate in present scenario and in present time of technological advancement Therefore; a new comprehensi ve iransparent veritication system is required to be put in place with the following objectives To regulate the implementation of statutory provision of Legal Metrology Act 2009 and Rules made thereunder in transparent and accountable manner through technology To develop more effective and eflicient €-portal single window system to achieve the objectives of Ease of' Doing Business (EoDB) To prolect the consumer S rights.
