GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT West Bengal Act LI of 1978 THE WEST BENGAL BHUDAN YAGNA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1978 [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature:] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the Sth January, 1979.] [Sth January, 1979.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act; 1962. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act; 1962, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-ninth Year of the Republic of India; by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: West Bengal Bhuban Yagna Shoit title_ 1. This Act may be called the (Amendment) Act; 1978. In section 2 of the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act, 1962 2 secicodzentof (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), before clause (1), the West Ben . following clause shall be inserted Act XVIII of 1962 Akhil Bharat Sarva Seva Sangh' means the '(al) organisation founded by Acharya Vinoba Bhave &d 21 of 860. registered under the Societies Registration Act; 1860, having its registered office at Rajghat; Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh In section 3 of the said Act; for sub-section (2), the following Amendment of 3. sub-section shall be substituted: section 3 of the members of the Board shall be "(2)A majority nominated by Akhil Bharat Sarva Seva Sangh: Provided that the members of the Board nominated by Acharya Vinoba Bhave prior to the commencement of the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna (Amendment) Act; 1978, shall be deemed to have been nominated by Akhil Bharat Sarva Seva Sangh.
