Indian Council of Agricultural Research vide letter number l(2)!92-Pl&M(Part-III) dated the 13th October, 1993 provides for the establishment of the Central Agricultural University for Nonh-Eastern Region with headquarters at Imphal (Manipur) having office of the Vice-Chancellor; Directorates of Instruction, Research and Extension Education, etc. and with College of Agriculture lManipur), College of Veterinary Sciences (Mizoram), Coilege of Agricultural Engineering and Post-Harvest Technology (Sikkim). College of Horticulture and Forestry (Arunachal Pradesh), College of Fisheries (Tripura). College of Post-Graduate Studies and College of Home Science (Meghalaya) in the States of .the North-EaStern Region as mentioned in respectiveparentheses: And whereas the aforesaid sanction also provides for creation and filling of the Academic positions, such as the Director of Instruction, Director of Research and Director of Extension Education, Deans of the concerned 'Colleges and of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors and their equivalent academic positions in the University Grants Commission grades: And wheteis the Government of India in the.
