NOTIFICATION APPOINTING THE DIRECTCR, FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE UNITI In exercise pf the powvers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 49 of the Prevention of Moncy-laundering 'Act , 2002 {15 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints, with effect from the Ist day of July, 2005, the Director , Financial Intelligence Unit, India, under the Ministry of Finance, Department |of Revenue, as the Director to exercise the exclusive powers conferred under #[clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 12, section 12AJ, section 13, sub-section (2) of section 26 and sub-section (1) of section 50 of the said Act and the said Director, Financial Intelligence Unit, India, shall also concurrently exercise powers conferred by sub-section (3) and sub-section (5) of section 26, section 39, section 40, section 41, section 42, section |48, sub-section (2) of section 49, section 66 and section 69 of the aforesaid ActRule TOC
