[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature:] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 14th March, 2001.] An Act to amend the West Bengal State Health Service Act, 1990. West Ben_ Act VII of 1990 WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal State Health Service Act; 1990,forthepurposesandin the mannerhereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal State Health Service Short title (Amendment) Act; 2001. and commence - ment: (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. In section 14 of the West Bengal State Health Service Act; 1990 Amendment (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act); of section 14 of West Ben. (1) in sub-section (1), in clause (a) of the second proviso, for the Act VII of 1990. words 'ten years" the words "eleven years" shall be substituted; (2) in sub-section (2A), in the second proviso, for the figures; letters and words 24th day of May, 2000 the figures, lettersand words "2Ath day of May, 2001. shall be substituted. 3. In the proviso to section 194 of the principal Act; for the words Amendment "ten years" the words "eleven years' of section shall be substituted. 19A- 4.
