No. SPC. 1318 / 47 / C.R.8/IX.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section ( 1 )of section 32 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016) and in supersession of the Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department, Notification No. MIS. 1087/940/(110)-X, dated the 11th January 1988, the Government of Maharashtra, with the concurrence of the Hon'ble Chief Justice, High Court of Bombay, hereby empowers all courts of the Metropolitan Magistrates and the Judicial Magistrates of the first class, in the State, to try any offence punishable under the said Act.
