West Ben. ket X111 of 979. GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT West Bengal Act XXIII of 1986 THE WEST BENGAL TOWN AND COUNTRY (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1986. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 2Ist November, 19861 [21st November, 1986.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) (Amendment) Act, 1986. In clause (i) of sub-section (2) of section 4 of the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) Act, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "Corporation of Calcutta;", the words "Calcutta Municipal Corporation;" shall be substituted. In section 19 of the principal Act,— (a) in sub-section (1), for clause (d), the following clause shall be substituted:— "(d) not more than five persons to be nominated by the State Government of whom— (i) two shall be Councillors or Aldermen of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation, Sho le.
