Noti: No. 401,dated 9th February; 2004.-~In exercise of power conferred by Section 181(1) of Electricity Act;, 2003 and all power enabling in this behali, Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission makes the following regulations to carry that the function of the Commission Regarding financial powers to the various authorities responsible for exercising the financial powers in connection with affairs of the Commission. 1. Short title and commencement:-~These regulations shall be called Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Delegation of Financial Powers) Reguiaiioris ZoU3. Tney snaii be deemed t0 be in force with eiiect trom '24th April: 2003. 2. Definitions:-~In these regulations the words used shall have the following meanings 'Government' shall mean Government of Jharkhand; 'Act' shall mean the ER.C. Act;, 1998 and now Electricity Act, 2003 and shall include any statutory amendment, modification and re-enactment thereof; (ii) 'Commission' shall mean Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission; (iv) 'Chairman' shall mean Chairman of Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission; 'Secretary' shall mean Secretary for Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission or any other officer of the Commission authorized by the Chairperson to discharge the responsibilities of the Secretary in hishher absence for a limited period; (vi) 'Head of the department' shall mean 2[Chairman of the Commission or any other officer to whom such powers may be delegated by the Chairman; (vii) 'Head of

The Commission shall have powers t0 make suitable amendments to these regulations from time to time in accordance with requirements of the functioning of the Commission: The Secretary of the Commission shall also have the authority to issue directives from time to time in order to ensure smooth implementation of these regulations 5.
