The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No . 210] NEW DELHI , FRIDAY , MAY 10 , 1985/VAISAKHA 20 , 1907 Separate Paging is given to this Part in order that it may be filed as a separate compilation MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 10th May , 1985 G.S.R . 418 (E): In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Banks Act , 1873 (5 of 1873) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , namely :— 1 . Short title and commencement—(i) These rules may be called the Post Office Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules , 1985 . (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette . 2 . In the Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , in rule 7 , for Table F and the Note thereunder , the following Tables and Note shall be substituted , namely:— "TABLE F (For deposits made on or after the 1st March 1983 but before the 10th May , 1985) TABLE G (For deposits made on or after the 10th May , 1985) Note:—For deposits made on or after 1st October , 1979 , in -terest will be payable at the rates specified in.Table C or Table D or Table E or Table F or Table G , as the case may be , calculated at half-yearly rest.
