[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 20th April, 2006.] An Act to amend the Kolkata Land-revenue Act, 2003. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Kolkata Land-revenue Act, 2003, for the West Ben. Act purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; GLYPH<9> XV of 2003. It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Kolkata Land-revenue (Amendment) Act, 2006. Short title and commencement. - (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. In sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Kolkata Land-revenue Act, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after Explanation II, the following Explanation shall be added Amendment of section 5 of West Ben. Act XV of 2003. - "Explanation IIL-For the purpose of determination of land - revenue in respect ofany land used for setting up of any mill, factory, workshop or for other commercial purposes, land-revenue for the portion of land which is not directly used for shops, offices, machine rooms, spaces for stacking and storages and godowns,
