3 · . The West Bengal Hcalth Service sha!l include a separate Unit . tn be kn , ~ wn as the Public Health -cumAdministration Unit. The posts in the Public Healthcum-Administration Unit shall be as a re those , pedfied in Schedule I.

4 · . 1 he fnstitutions , Health Centres and Hospitals to w hich _ the members of the West Bengal Health Service ( excluding those who are posted in the Public Hcalthcum-Administration Unit) may be posted shall he those as are specified in Schedule IL

5 · . The members of the \Vest Bengal Heaith Service shall consist of

1 · 1 ! all persons recruited by the State Government on or after the constitution of the West Bengal Health Service through the State Public Service Commission in such manner as may prescribe .

6 · . ii; Any member of the former West Bengal Health Service , wh who held a post connected with Public Health er Administration immediately before the coming into force of the said Act, t, shall be eligible for appointment to a post in the Public Healthhcum-Administration Unit.

7 · . ( /) The members of the West Bengal Health Service ( excluding those appointed to posts in the Public Healthhcum-Administration Unit ) shall be designated Medical Officers or declared as Specialists .

8 · . THe members of the West Bengal Health Service wh who are posted in the Health Centres . Rural Hospitals and nd Teaching Hospitals mentioned in items (a) , (b) and (f) of Schedule II shall not engage in private practice .

12 · . The seniority rules applicable to the members , -1 the \\·c,;t Bengal Health Service including those ppeted to posts in the Public Health-cum-Adminisratin Unit) shall be as follows: -

2 · . The option hereby exercised is final and will not be modified or cancelled at any subsequent date .

2 · . These rules shall apply to the members of the West Bengal Health Service including Public Health· h· cum-Administration Unit constituted under Sub -Sec -tion ( I) of Section 3 of the West Bengal State Health Service Act, t, 1990 (West Ben . Act, t, VII of 1990)

3 · . THe scales of pay applicable to the members of the West Bengal Health Service including those who are posted in the Public Health-Cum-Administration Unit shall be as follows :

4 · . The following allowances and special pay are admi , sible to the members of the West Bengal Health Ser\lce induding those posted in the Public Health-, um-. -\dministration Cnit:

1 · eJ Medical Officers including Pathologists for controls of Leprosy in Pilot Projects , Clinics , Hospitals , Mobile Teams .

7 · . The basic Pay and non-practising pay of tbe members of the West Bengal Health Service including the Public Healthhcum-Administration Unit shall not exceed Rs . 8 . 000/-/-per month .

8 · . Age ofSuperannuation ·

9 · . Pension :
