(i) These regulations may be called the Opening of Higher Courses of Study Regulations, 1993 (ii) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette 2. Scheme relating to Dental Colleges The scheme referred to in clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (2) of section 10 A of the Dentists Act, 1948 (as modified upto 27.8.1992) is a part of the regulations and is annexed here to :- ## Page 4 SCHEME APPLICATION FOR PERMISSION OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT FOR STARTING HIGHER COURSES (INCLUDING POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSE) IN A DENTAL COLLEGE/INSTITUTION Instructions to the Applicant: For starting higher courses in Dental subjects in the Dental College/Dental Postgraduate Institutes/Medical Postgraduate Institutes like A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi; P.G.I. Chandigarh; B.H.U Varanasi., J.I.P.M.E.R Pondicherry, etc., the ap- plicant should conform to the guidelines laid down in the Regulations of the M.D.S. Course and P.G. Diploma Course prescribed by the Dental Council of India and approved by the Central Government under sectioRule TOC
