Government Of Rajasthan Department Of Transport S.No :F 7(117)Trans/rules/Hq/1994/16869 Jaipur, Dated:31-08-2015 Notification In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-rule (2) of rule 118 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules,1989 and in supersession of this department's Notification number F 7(117) Pari/Rules/1994/3999 Dated 25.06.2012, the State Government in public interest hereby specifies that the transport vehicles registered in the state prior to the 1 st October, 2015 and are not covered under the first proviso of sub-rule (1) of rule 118 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules,1989 shall be equipped or fitted by the operators of those vehicles with a speed governor having a maximum pre-set speed of 80 kilometer/hour conforming to the standard AIS:018/2001, as amended from time to time, on or before 1 April, 2016: Provided that the transport vehicles carrying hazardous goods and those transport vehicles that are dumpers, tankers or school buses shall be equipped with a speed governor having a maximum pre-set speed of 60 kilometer/hour.
