West Ben. Act VIII of 1975. GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT West Bengal Act XXVIII of 1975 THE WEST BENGAL COUNCIL OF HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1975. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 25th August, 1975.] [25th August, 1975.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-sixthYear of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Council of Higher Short title. Secondary Education (Amendment) Act, 1975. In section 18 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Amendment (i) in sub-section (1), for the words "Boards of Studies in one or Act VIII f more", the words "Boards of Studics for one or more subjects in one or more" shall be substituted; (ii) in sub-section (2),— (a) in clause (iv), for the words "in the branch", the words "in any of the subjects in the branch of education" shall be substituted. (b) in clause (v), for the words "in the branch", the words "in any of the subjects in the branch" shall be substituted; (iii) after sub-section (3), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:— "(3A) Notwithstanding anything contained in clause (iv) of sub-section (2), the members referred to therein shall, for the purpose of first constitution of any Board of of section18 of WestBen of 1975.
