[Extract from the Punjab Govt: Gaz , dated the 2Ist October; 2016] GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB DEPARTMENT OF NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES (Energy Branch) NOTIFICATION The 27th September; 2016 NO.18/06/2016-PE1/2612.-In partial modification ofnotification dated 17.03.2008 issued vide no. 10/123/04-STE(3Y920,the Governor of Punjab is pleased to re-constitute the State Level Energy Conservation Action Plan Team (ECAT) under Energy Conservation Act-2O01 to enable harmonization of Energy Conservation Policy across sectors and assist in development and co-ordination of the state program; comprising of the following members: - Principal Secretary/Secretary, Department of Chairman New & Renewable Energy Sources, Punjab Principal Secretary to Govt: of Punjab, Member 2 Deptt: of Local Govt_ Punjab or his representative Principal Secretary to Govt: of Punjab, Member 3 _ Deptt: of Industries & Commerce, Punjab or his representative Secretary to Govt: of Punjab, Member 4_ Deptt: of Power; Punjab or his representative Secretary to Govt: of Punjab, Member 5 _ Deptt; of PWD (B&R) Punjab or his representative Secretary to Govt: of Punjab, Deptt: of Housing & Urban Member 6 Development; Punjab or his representative Chief Executive, Punjab Energy Development Agency Member Secretary 7 _ The Energy Conservation Action Plan Team (ECAT) shall perform the following functions:- 1) To share the views_ ii) To sort out problems iin) To help about amendment in Energy Conservation Act-2001. iv) The Action Team shall meet once on a half yearly basis.
