In this regard it is again informed that Hon'ble Council of Ministers , GNCTD vide its decision No. 2238 dated 03.11.2015 has also decided to abolish the following affidavits with immediate effect: Correction in birth and death records/certificates Addition of name of child in birth certificate. In lieu of desiring affidavits for above said services, you are advised to get self certification/undertaking/declaration from the applicant, as per format attached herewith. Further, it is also advised that in case the Registrar/Sub- Registrar( Births & Deaths) require more satisfaction to finalize the request for correction in birth and death records/certificates, it may be dealt with the provisions of Rule 11 (4) of the Delhi Registration of Births and deaths Rules, 1999 viz the concerned Registrar/Sub-Registrar (B&D) may satisfy himself/herself by obtaining declaration/undertaking of two credible persons(with their Ids) to authenticate true facts of the case Here it is clarified that the physical presence of said two persons in the office of Registrar/ Sub Registrar (B&D) is not required for
