GOVERNMENT OF RAJASTHAN FOREST DEPARTMENT F.15 (33) Forest/98 Jaipur , dated 24.05.2016 NOTIFICATION In pursuance of the provisions of clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Rajasthan Forest (Produce Transit) Rules, 1957, the State Government hereby authorizes the following officers to issue Transit Pass for charcoal made outside the forest from Prosopis juliflora, commonly known as Vilayati Babool, derived from nion-forest land,; for the area mentioned against each of them, namely: 1. Patwari For issue of Transit Pass within the district; in respect of charcoal derived from Prosopis juliflora within his territorial jurisdiction: 2 Tehsildar For issue of Transit Pass within the State, in respect of charcoal derived from Prosopis juliflora within his territorial jurisdiction. 3 Sub- Divisional Officer For issue of Transit Pass within or outside the Statet; in respect of charcoal derived from Prosopis juliflora within his territorial jurisdiction: Before issuing the Transit Pass, the authorized officer shall ensure that; the Prosopis juliflora, from which charcoal has been derived was procured in accordance with the provisions of the Rjasthan Tenancy Act; 1955 and the rules made thereunder or any other or Government order in force; no Charcoal from Vilayti Babool (Prosopis juliflora) in the National parks, wildlife sanctuaries and forest raeas and within one kilometer periphery of their outer boundary shall be allowed to be manufactured/ transported under this notification; i.e. no Transit Pass shall be issued, if the cutting of Prosopis juliflora or manufacturing of Charcoal has been carried out inside or within one kilometer limit from nearby forest area or the protected area; iii) the place of cutting of Prosopis juliflora and the place of manufacture of Charcoal
