Vesting with the Chennai City Civil Court to receive, try and dispose ofall suits and other proceedings of civil nature within the city of Chennai up to 10 lakhs [G. 0. Ms: No. 1742,HOME (CTS. III), DATED THE 23RD NOVEMBER 1995] No. II(2YH0/3595 (C-3)/95'.~In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3-A of the ?[Chennai] City Civil Court Act, 1892, (Central Act VII of 1892) as amended by clause (1) of section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts and the "[Chennai] City Civil Court (Amendment) Act; 1995 (Tamil Nadu Act 28 of 1995) and in supersession of the Home Department Notification No II (2)/HO/ 1018/81, dated the 23rd February 1981, published at page 177 in Part II ,Sec- tion 2 Of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 4th March 1981, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby invests; with effect o and from the Ist Decem- ber 1995, the '[Chennai] City Civil Court subject to the exceptions specified in section 3 of the [Chennai] City Civil Court Act; 1892 (Central Act VII of 1892) with jurisdiction to receive, try and dispose of all suits and othet proceedings; of a civil nature arising within the City of ?[Chennai] ad of value not exceeding ten lakhs of rupees: 1 Published in Part IISection 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary; dated the 23rd November; 1995.
