ORDER: The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette: NOTIFICATION In exercise ofthe powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, and all other powers hereunto enabling _ the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate ServiceRules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436 G.A.(Ser.D) Department dated th 15 th October, 1996 and as subsequently amended from time to time. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 14.02.2003. AMENDMENTS . -I -In the said rules,- 1.(1) In rule 6(b), the following shall be inserted as first proviso, namely,- "Provided that for promotion in respect of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates only, the zone of consideration in theratio of I :3, shall not be applicable in respect ofposts whose total cadre strength is more than five" , r· After inserting the above proviso,- (a) In the second proviso, for the words "providedthat" the words "provided further that'~ shall be".substituted.""- (b) In the third proviso, for the words "provided further that" the'words "provided also that" shall be substituted . .
