Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , namely:— ' 1.(1) These rules may be called the Post Office Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules , 1987 . They shall come into force on the date of their"'publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . In the Post Olfice Time Deposit Rules , 1981 , in rule 7 , for Table G and the Note thereunder , the following Tables and Note shall be substituted , namelv : - "TABLE G , (For deposits'made on or after the 10th May , 1985 but before the 1st April , 1987) Period of deposit rVear 2 Years 3 Years 5 Years Rate of interest per annum 9 '/ a per cent 10 per cent 10 V 2 PC PC1" L "-nt 11 Y«-per cent TABLb II (For deposits made on or aRer the 1st April , 1987) Mote : For deposits made on or after the 1st October 1979 , interest will be payable al the rates specified in Table C or Table D or Table E or Table F or Table G or Table H , as the case may be , calculated at half yearly interest."' .
