ESTATE, NEW DELHI-110002 No. F.8/18/MWM/Legal/98/Part-III/7436 NOTIFICATION No. F.8/18/MWM/Legal/98/Part-III/ .– Whereas the draft of the Delhi Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rule, 2010 (Now 2011) was published as required under subsection (4) of section 53 read with clause (q) of section 2 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of 2010) in the Delhi Gazette on the 10 th January, 2011 vide this Government of Delhi Notification No. F.8/18/MWM/Legal/98/Part-III/6639 dated 10 th January, 2011 inviting suggestions/objections from the persons likely to be affected thereby, within 30 days from the date of the publication of the said notification in the Delhi Gazette. And whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on the 10 th January, 2011; And whereas objections/suggestions received with regard to the said draft rules have been considered by the Competent Authority. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53 read with clause (q) of section 2 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of 2010), the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in consultation with the Central Government, is pleased to make the rules to carry out the provisions of the said Act as following, namely:- Short title and commencement.– (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011. They shall come into force on the 1 st day of April, 2011 .
