(Authorised English Translation] HARYANA GOVERNMENT FOOD AND SUPPLIES DEPARTMENT Notification The 12th May, 2011 No. S.O. 42/C.A. 1/2010/S. 53/2011.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 53 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (Central Act | of 2010), after consultation with the Central Government and with reference to Haryana Government, Food and Supplies Department, notification No. S.O. 38/C.A. 1/ 2010/S. 53/2011, dated the Sth April, 2011, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules, namely :— These rules may be called the Haryana Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Short title. Rules, 2011. (1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, — (a) "Act" means the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (Central Act | of 2010) ; (b) "Reference Standards Laboratory" means a laboratory set up by the Central Government where reference standards, secondary standards and working standards are maintained; (c) “Schedule” means a schedule appended to these rules; (d) "State Government" means the Government of the State of Haryana in the Administrative Department. Words and expressions used in these rules and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
