No. GTH-2011-30-K M¥V-102010-422744-D:- WHEREAS, certain draft rules were published as required by sub-section (4) of section 53 of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of 2010), at pages 2-1 to 2-72 in the Gujarat Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV-A, dated the 6" January, 2011, under the Government Notification, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, No: GTH- 201 1-2-KMYV102010-422744-D, dated 6" January, 2011, inviting objection or suggestion from all persons likely to be attected thereby within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of the said notification in the official Gazette. AND WHEREAS, the objections or suggestions received by the Government on the said draft rules, have been considered by the Government: NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 53 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of 2010), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules, namely :- I, Short title, extent and commencement- {1} These rules may be called the Gujarat Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011. a — They extend to the whole of the State of Gujarat.
