Punjab Government, Revenue Department Notification Dated 3 rd May, 1958 declaring Roads, Canals and Railways lines as Protected Forests. No. 1122 — Ft.58/1195. In suppression of Punjab Government Notification: No. 260 – Ft dated the 8 th February, 1945 No. 5002 – D – 51/6264 dated the 15 th November, 1951 No. 563 – Ft – 54/458 dated the 3 rd March, 1955 and No. 3384 – Ft – 55/2134 dated the 19 th August, 1955 And in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of India Forest Act, 1927 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to declare the strips of Govt. forest or waste lands whether under tree growth or not on either side of all roads, canals and railways in the State of Punjab except those in the Patiala Division described in the following schedule to be procted forests and the provision in Chapter IV and section 68 of the said Act to be applicable to them: Schedule Descriptions and Situation Name of Strips No. 122 – Ft – 58/1196. Whereas by Punjab Government Notification No. 1122 – Ft – 58/1195, dated the 3 rd May, 1958, all strip of Government waste lands, demarcated by boundary pillar whether under tree growth or not on either side of all roads, canals and railways in the State of Punjab except Patiala Division as mentioned in the Schedule 29 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 Now therefore, the Governor of Punjab in exercise of Powers conferred by Section 30 of the said Act is please:- (a) To declare all trees standing in or upon these lands to be reserved with effect form the date of publication of this notification. (b) To prohibit form the same date the quarrying of stones, burning of lime charcoal, or the collection of subjection to any manufacturing process removal or any forest produce in any such forest and the bre
