2 · In this Act —

2 · [Provided that if for some reason beyond the control of the State Government, it is not possible to hold or complete the general election to a local body or to notify its reconstitution before 31st day of December, 1964, the State Government may by notification in the official Gazette direct that in relation to such local body this section shall have effect as if for the words and figures "thirty-first day of December, 1964 " the words and figures "thirtieth day of June, 1968 " were substituted. ]

4 · The period of supersession of the Jewar, Bahjoi and Kuraoli town area committees shall extend up to the day of reconstitution of the committees for these town areas but not later than the thirty-first day of December, 1964 and the extension so made shall have the same effect as an order made under sub -section (1) of section 36 of the U. P. Town Areas Act, 1914.

3 · [5. The period of supersession of the Town Area Committee , Jaswantnagar shall extend up to the date of its resconstitution but not later than 4[thirtieth day of June, 1967] and the extension so made shall have the same effect as an order made under sub -section (1) of section 36 of the U.P. Town Area Act.]
